China is making more solar energy than any other country in the world. According to an estimate, China is preparing 130 GW (13 billion KW) of solar power. Experts believe that the power of Britain’s electricity can be met several times as much as China produces.
China has installed the world’s largest solar plant in the Tanger desert. Its capacity is 1500 MW. 40 lakh solar panels have been installed in the 850 Mw of Tibetan Plateau. Yavon Liu of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, a market research firm, believes that China is the world’s largest solar panel maker. According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), 60% of the world’s solar panels are preparing China.
China still has two-thirds of electricity coming from coal-based plants, Pollution is a fierce problem in industrial cities, including Beijing, due to which China wants to reduce coal consumption.
There is plenty of sunlight in north and northwest China, so here many large solar power farms have been built. In the eastern region of China, 94% of the country’s population and only 6% of the population live in the western region. According to the IEA the way China is moving forward in the field of solar power it seems that it will achieve its target of 2020 already China has built several of its solar forms in politically turbid areas.
Experts say that the purpose of forming a farm in these areas is completely political the government wants to stop people leaving these areas.
Expert Yuan Shu of Chinese University of Hong Kong says that the distribution of air and solar power sources in China is very different. At the same time, despite the large solar form, power is not being produced according to the capacity.
According to the China Electricity Council, solar production in the first 6 months of this year was only 14.7%. Due to low production, weather is a major reason. There is a loss of power due to the presence of thousands of km of transmission lines. Where Solar Farms have been built, the city is far from there.
Loss Solar Energy Project: In May the government stopped subsidizing big solar projects. So making them more cost will now cost. In the current situation, Renewable Energy Fund is operating at a loss of $ 15 billion. Last year, projects of 53 GW capacity were installed, while this year, upto 35 GW capacity projects will be available.
